Cell-Cell Symposium

The Cell-Cell Symposium brings together experimental biologists, bioinformaticians, clinical scientists and technology developers focused on understanding how cells communicate and influence one another in real biological systems. The meeting centers on bridging the gap between dissociated single-cell measurements and spatial biology by highlighting emerging experimental platforms and computational approaches that directly link gene programs to functional effects on neighboring cells. As the field moves toward large-scale cell-cell interaction atlases, the symposium emphasizes scalable datasets, multimodal integration, and AI-driven models that enable inference of causative cell-cell interactions, predictive modeling of cell state, and virtual cell and tissue simulations. Together, these efforts aim to accelerate discovery in areas such as AI-ready datasets, interaction inference, perturbation modeling, and data-driven therapeutic development.

Upcoming 2027

SAVE THE DATE!

The third annual Cell-Cell Symposium on March 17th, 2027 @ CNSI, UCLA will continue to bring together a focused community of experimental biologists, computational scientists, and technology developers working to understand how cells communicate and influence one another in complex biological systems. Building on the momentum of the first two meetings, this year’s symposium will feature expanded poster sessions, more opportunities for discussion, and an interactive format designed to foster collaboration across disciplines.
